Did you read Boston Magazine this week? Interesting article entitled Places the plunge forgot. subtitle. Ten towns and neighborhoods where home prices are taking a pass on this whole meltdown thing.

The article is about numerous towns where prices and sales have risen. It mentions Beacon Hill condo sales rose 4.3% last year and that Back Bay prices surged 19% in 2008.

Another town mentioned in the article was Cambridge. It stated that the median single-family home price is $750,000 up 15.66% from last year. One example was 40 Grozier Rd., West Cambridge in 2005 this single-family home sold for $2 million. In 2008 it resold for $2.4 million a 20% increase.
