The cost of a Back Bay parking space: $150,000, or more

For $150,000, you can buy a 2006 Hummer H1, a 2002 Bentley Arnage or a 1999 Lamborghini Diablo.

Or you can just buy a Back Bay parking space to put one in.

Prices for Hub parking spaces are hitting all-time highs.

There are only 19 spaces currently listed for sale – including two Beacon Street spots priced at $150,000 each.

“Parking spaces don’t come on the market often, and when they do, people just have to have them,” said John Keith, a Hub real estate agent who follows the market at BostonPKG.com. “They’re as popular as children.”

They’re as popular as children??? I don’t even know what I meant when I said that.
