Single-family home sales dropped precipitously, in November, according to The Warren Group.
Condo sales, although lower than 2005 and 2004, were still at their 2003 levels, which were at historic highs, at the time.
“We’re still in a decline, but the slope is not as steep as it was in the summer and early fall,” said Timothy [...]

Moody’s Economy.com and Fiserv Lending Solutions have estimated where real estate prices will be, a year from now.
The Boston-Quincy real estate market, an ill-defined area (it’s a Census Bureau thing) is estimated to drop 1.7%, next year. In 2008, prices should increase a nominal 0.2%.

Others say people are moving away because of the high cost of [...]

The Ocean Club is a luxury midrise condominium project about to break ground in the most unlikely place – near Revere Beach.
The developer has signed reservations or contracts on 30 percent of its 42 units.
Construction is scheduled to commence during the first quarter, 2007.

Would anyone be interested in me posting entries with all the properties currently on the market, for less than their assessed values?
There aren’t that many, to be truthful.
Leave me a comment. It would take some work to put together the list, so I’m not sure it’s worth the time and effort, to do every [...]

From a reader’s comments:
I was initially excited by Menino’s proposal to relocate City Hall and free up that huge waste of space that is City Hall Plaza, but have since cooled to the idea somewhat.
I am now beginning to think that the better options would be to not inconvenience the people who need to access [...]

“South Boston, from present appearances, is predestined to be the magnificent section of the city in respect to costly residences, fashionable society, and the influence of wealth.”
