Whoa. I didn’t see this one coming.
Beth Dickerson has closed up her own shop and moved over to Gibson Sotheby’s Sotheby’s.
No word on the reasoning.
I’m surprised. She is an expert in the business and has many high-end clients. I can only assume she was offered a pretty sweet deal – more money [...]

360 Newbury has had a storied past. Most recently, the lower three floors went from being a Tower Records store to a Virgin Records store to a Best Buy (which seems an odd fit).

David Lereah, NAR’s chief economist, predicts that tighter underwriting practices may cause total home sales to fall by about 100,000 to 250,000 nationally, or no more than 3 percent a year over the next two years.
“Foreclosures are increasing inventories in certain local markets, Lereah says. “The projected flood of foreclosures are problematic and will add [...]

Cute little story in today’s Times about how budding relationships can often fall apart due to just one thing – where you live.
Spring is here and the restaurants will soon be filled with anxious and hopeful couples, ordering wine, dusting off their most luminous lies, thinking they might finally have found love.
Then they will see [...]

Just three years ago, things looked rosy for Boston. Overall crime rates had dropped to historic lows.
Fast forward to today, and Boston is facing more shootings and more murders than it has in a decade (although some crimes are still down).
Most other major metropolitan cities have faced the same predicament – a stubborn increase [...]
