I live in Fenway on Boylston St.

near Mass Ave. I live in a 2 bed split (2 bedroom apartment with the living room used as a 3rd

bedroom) with 2 other guys and each of us pays $700/mo each for rent. I have lived there for the

past 5 years.

I am getting married in December and my future wife and I will be getting a 1

bed in Waltham for $900/mo., so my rent will go down to $450/mo for me.

information on rentals would be really useful. I’m

still in the process of saving up a down payment and will probably continue renting for the next

few years.

I didn’t

realize average rents were up that high. I’m just quoting the price of a buddy of mine who lives

on Commonwealth near the Super 88. That’s what he paid last year.

As a

renter I wouldn’t mind seeing a post or two. However the new developments are sort of beyond my

means. I am happy in the North End in an old building with pretty cheap rent.

There are

bargains to be had, though admittedly for crappy places or dense arrangements… I know people in

Allston/Brighton paying $450-$550.
