Breaking: Stephanie’s to open in South End

Well, “breaking” in the sense that it was rumored at least four months ago …

Overheard at the coffee shop today is the rumor that Back Bay hot-spot Stephanie’s will be opening in the South End, on Tremont Street, on the site of the Eagle recently-closed Garden of Eden.

    Booooo. Swapping out boys in tight shirts with euros in tight pants and wrap around sunglasses. Their soups are good though.

    Great, because the neighborhood doesn’t already have enough pretentious, overrated, underwhelming, and overpriced establishments.

    Darn, i was hoping for an uber-Starbucks store here :(

    John isn’t homophobic. The Eagle is just a dump with a forked-tongued viper for an owner. Don’t ever make the mistake of ordering a beer from him that he doesn’t stock. You’ll get a verbal slap that will make you wonder why the place is still in business.
