Pricey properties in some of Boston’s toniest zip codes are stalling in sales.
The number of homes, including single-family, multi-family and condos, that sold for $1 million or more in Boston last month fell to just 14, from 27 in Janaury, 2008, according to LINK.

Here’s a sinking thought. In Lawerence MA, 1 of every 16 properties has been foreclosed since the start of 2006.

According to the American Community Survey, 83.5% of Americans in 2005-07 lived in the same home that they had a year earlier. This was higher in the Northeast, and it was at 85.9% in Massachussetts, the seventh highest in the nation.

Crashing home prices have led to the most affordable housing market in at least five years, according to the National Association of Home Builders/Wells Fargo Housing Opportunity Index released Thursday.

In the last seven days 61 Boston condos went under agreement. The average days on the market 115.
This week 14 Boston condos sold according to MLS. The average list price was $493,582.00 and the average sales price was $481,582.00
The least expensive Boston condo sold was in Dorchester for $67,900, the most expensive was in the [...]

From the Warren Group:
The Warren Group released its January foreclosure numbers today and unfortunately, the picture hasn’t changed much.
The number of foreclosure deeds recorded throughout Massachusetts was up in January compared to a year ago and the previous month. Since October, there has been an average of about 950 foreclosures a month.
