Seriously, this information floored me. According to the National Association Of Realtors the average real estate agent makes less than $2,500.00 per month. I wonder how much the average Walmart cashier makes?

    @ MA minimum wage, working 37.5 hours (a policy to keep you away from overtime), that’s $1125/month. Not including health insurance, which is pretty expensive coming from Wallyworld.

    Sorry, but it’s not even slightly comparable if we’re talking 40 hour work weeks.

    If Realtor work 80 hour weeks and don’t have subsidized employer benefits, maybe.

    Raises are poor (cents on the dollar) and far between with the focus on workers as a liability/cost to be cut.

    That salary is a bit misleading if it takes into account all real estate agents, and not just all full-time realtors. There are countless realtors who do it on the side rather than a 40-hour/week, full-time job. I’m actually surprised the average is that high.
