The big price drop is good news for buyers of course. However real estate agents were probably looking for a bigger sales bump with such a sharp decline in price per sq. foot. Overall dollars being spent on Dorchester condos is down…. At the end of the day, the total sales dollars is the most important number for real estate agents.

Encouraging news for Dorchester – looks like prices have returned to where they need to be for buyers and sellers to reach agreements. A return to “normal” sales volume is the best sign that prices have stabilized.
