I know that many people want to live in Boston and don't consider the other side of the river. However, East Cambridge is very accessible to downtown and if you're looking for more space/possibly better view/ over "i have to be in the city..." you can likely get a better deal there. Also, I think there has been far less new construction (mid luxury) there than in Boston. So while the pool of buyers is smaller so is the inventory. I actually think there are areas of cambridge that are not bad investments. I know that many people want to live in Boston and don’t consider the other side of the river.
