They don't know what they own, but they sure as hell want their money. I know a girl who had some trouble with her student loans because they were double sold to two separate companies that packaged them into securities. She had outstanding bills that almost wrecked her credit from a phantom loan, all the while paying her real loan holders. File this under Corp irresponsibility.
