Real Estate Lobby Participates In Crony Capitalism

A video of Stossel on home buyer credit fraud. In the middle of the interview he lambasts the real estate lobby for participating in crony capitalism and uses Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae as examples. Give it a watch and tell me your feelings on it.

    I would love to see John Stossel do an expose on how government handouts go to wealthier Americans to build and buy expensive 2nd homes. What possible justification can there be to allow wealthy people to deduct mortgage interest and real estate taxes on 2nd homes. It is one of the worse forms of government welfare that I can think of.

    As an example of the problem, Mr. Stossel could run the numbers on the new trophy home being built at 85 Billingsgate Road in Wellfleet. I believe that it is going to be 10,000 square feet in size.
