What possible justification can there be to allow wealthy people to deduct mortgage interest and real estate taxes on 2nd homes. It is one of the worse forms of government welfare that I can think of. As an example of the problem, Mr. Stossel could run the numbers on the new trophy home being built at 85 Billingsgate Road in Wellfleet. I believe that it is going to be 10,000 square feet in size.
