Last month, it was announced the Pontiac Silverdome would be auctioned off. The auction happened and the winning bid was… drum roll, please… $583,000.

Try to make sense of these latest bi-polar Massachusetts forclosure numbers:
Foreclosures were up 30 percent in October compared to September, but down 8.5 percent compared to a year ago.

More than half of smaller, independent landlords, who expect the difficult rental market to continue, are renovating their vacant properties, according to a recent study.

Some new condo developments have spent much of the year averaging less than one sale per month; FP3 was doing two to three during the summer, and closed seven in October. Three more are under agreement, and four others are being held on reservation. FP3 appears to be the busiest new condo development in town. [...]

The BRA has approved the 40-unit Urbanica 691 project in the South End.
The five-story, $14 million condo building, near Massachusetts and Harrison avenues, will have units selling for about $300,000 to $400,000, according to the BBJ.
Those sound like pretty reasonable prices.

Curt Schilling is having a tough time in the real estate market. Check this out: On March 26, 2008, Curt put his mansion on the market for $8,000,000. A year later, almost to the exact date, March 16, 2009, he reduced the price by $3mil to $5,000,000.
