		<description>I find them useful too.   Technology is great to give you an idea, but it&#039;s no substitute for seeing the place yourself.   Also, when you rely on making appointments you often have 3 or 4 schedules at play (e.g.husband, wife, seller&#039;s agent, buyer&#039;s agent, etc.).   On the other hand it is much simpler to clear your schedule for a few hours on a Sunday.  

In today&#039;s market, you might also get some buyers who might not be looking in a ceratain price category and are hesitant to make an appointment for something that is 15-20% above their max.  However, attending an open house for a property  is easy.  The seller&#039;s agent might mention that the sellers are very motivated and the buyers may actually consider making an offer...</description>

		<description>I&#039;m a condo owner who bought three years ago.  I found open houses useful when I was first starting my search - it gave me a better idea of what was available at what price.  I also think it would be useful in helping buyers determine which town or neighborhood to move to.  Further, I think some buyers would want to check out open houses before signing on with a buyer&#039;s broker.  So I still see a use for open houses.</description>

		<description>I think Open Houses are very useful, but I&#039;m a broker, not a buyer.  I have 3 listings right now and I don&#039;t receive many calls during the week on those listings, but several qualified buyers come to my open houses on Sundays.

It&#039;s obviously a good oppurtunity to pick up new clients, but that&#039;s not why I host my open houses.  I believe Open Houses will continue to be very popular in real estate.  People like to touch, see, and feel the biggest purchase of their lives.</description>
