Congratulations to Vinay Shah for being the first to purchase a condo at The Clarendon, 400 Stuart Street #15B for $1,500,000, with a $600,000.00 mortgage.

On another note, I just found out that 100 Stuart Street (The W) is part of Back Bay, well, according to MLS it is. So let’s recap, Back Bay starts at 303 Columbus Ave and goes all the way down to 100 Stuart Street.

File Under: I need to buy a new map.

    john, fyi: i think that actually is a $1.5m transaction, with a 600k mortgage.
    that figure threw me off at first, since i haven’t seen anything in that price range at the clarendon.
    curious to see how they pull it off.

    This sales price is over 1/2 mil below the original asking price.

    It’s around $1,200 per sq ft. The W’s first sale was at $875.00 per sq ft.

    More trouble, units 15f and 16f (low priced units) sold for about 10% less than asking. Imagine the discounts on the higher priced units, get the auction gavel ready….
