Massachusetts Top 20 In Foreclosures

Foreclosure filings in the Bay State topped 4,000 in November, ranking it 19th in the nation, according to a new report from RealtyTrac.

There were 4,005 filings in Massachusetts in November. One in every 680 housing units received a foreclosure filing. The number of filings in the state were down more than 25 percent compared to October, but up more than 76 percent compared November 2008, the report found.
