Massachusetts Foreclosure Update

In order to provide balanced information on the real estate market, I though I would include a foreclosure update, in lieu of all the postive Boston condo 1st Q sales data that was released today.

In Massachusetts, more than 9,000 homeowners lost their homes to foreclosure last year. In the first two months of this year, there have been 2,058 foreclosures, and another 3,996 have received foreclosure notices in the mail, according to The Warren Group.

Wow, 2.6 sales to each foreclosure. Harsh stuff.

Foreclosures en feugo? John, is there a way to look at foreclosures via zip code or is it only published state wide?

pain in the, realtytrac.com is a web site that breaks down foreclosures by zip code. But I was told that its not always updated.
