Downtown condo sales continued to improve in the second quarter, jumping to 849 sold units from 653. But prices fell a bit, by 3.6 percent, to a median price of $443,500.

The national media has discovered that foreclosures can happen even on Nantucket. But the article, to its credit, digs deeper and discovers it’s not the Wall Street boys who are suffering.

I just did a search to find out when the last sale was at the W Residence and, according to MLS, it was back in May 27, 2010.
Does anyone have an update on what’s going on at the W?

The Globe looks at the increase in downtown luxury-condo foreclosures, focusing mostly on the plight of Geenway Place along the Rose Kennedy Greenway.
The downtown foreclosure increases aren’t that big in raw numbers. But it does show how the prolonged downturn is wearing down almost every segment of society.
