According to MLS there is no shortage of apartments for rent. Boston has a total of 668 apartments for rent (not all for Sept, but most are.) The following are a few Boston nighborhoods with availble apartments listed on MLS:

I’m going to make a prediction. And here it is: In the next few weeks a news clip will come out that foreclosure filings are down.

LINK, a Boston real estate tracking company, reported that the average Boston Midtown condo saw a 40.91% percentage increase of the average selling price for Q2 2011 compared to Q2 2010. What is that price? About $1.12m.

First, a proposed new tower in Seaport (see post below). Now Adam says yet another 404-unit apartment tower is being proposed at the site of a parking lot in Chinatown, right next to to the Jacob Wirth restaurant. No word on the fate of the eatery.

They just keep on coming.
Developers are now set to start building a 21-story, $170,000,000.00 apartment and retail tower on Pier 4, the latest in a slew of new developments in the Seaport area. The Globe piece has all the details about Pier 4 and other nearby projects.
