Here’s a piece that suggests that home prices across the country, which spiked last year, may be topping out.
Our reaction: We’ll believe it when we see it, at least in Massachusetts.
As we noted a few days ago, prices increases may slow, but that doesn’t mean they’ll hit some sort of magical peak and then stabilize any time soon. If anything, home prices in areas outside Route 128 (i.e. Worcester, the Cape and western Massachusetts) could well see hefty price hikes in 2014.
