Here’s a rare occurrence these days: The BRA has actually
killed dropped from the agenda a planned condo development in South Boston.
The proposed conversion of the old Gate of Heaven School on Fourth Street into 31 condos has been the center of neighborhood controversy for a while now, as neighbors complain the Catholic school should be turned into a charter school, not a condo development.
Even Mayor Walsh has signaled his reluctance to take on neighbors.
So the BRA has
killed temporarily put the project on hold. Meaning … well, you know what it means, even though it’s technically still “under review.”
