— Proposed: A simple plan to improve some of the things going on in Boston, to make it a better place to live, for all of us.
Streets
* require the new solar trash boxes be installed in all of the back bay, beacon hill, & south end
* require better trash collection on streets – put peer pressure on area residents (7 AM drop!)
* require trash barrels be put out by building, not allowed by unit
Parking
* residents only, sweeping: how can we realistically solve this problem?
* require new meters by credit card in the back bay, beacon hill, & south end
Development (pro-)
* support columbus center construction plans
* support prudential plaza construction plans
* support relocating city hall to seaport district
* support immediate replacement of storrow drive tunnel
Traffic
* require the city to post street signs at every street corner
* require drivers to obey all traffic laws
* require pedestrians to obey all traffic laws
* reign in valets & delivery trucks – abusers must be banned, trucks and cars ticketed and towed
Schools
A new elementary school on beacon hill
Crime
* larceny & robbery – s/b reduced
Transportation
* require a 2:30 AM closing of all MBTA subways
Quality of life
* reduce aggressive panhandling and clean up the neighborhood, in copley square
