Regardless of what your position is on the Boston housing market, one thing is certain, Boston and the state of MA doesn’t have an excess supply of housing for sale.
The question is why? Some think that sellers have given up trying to sell their homes. In the last 7 days 71 Boston condos have either expired or were cancelled on MLS. 36 Boston condos were temporaily withdrawn. It appears that sellers couldn’t get their asking price (or close to it) so they pulled their listings off the market.
Others feel that the lack of new construction is causing inventory to remain in check.
