House prices in Boston increased for a fifth consecutive month, according to the S&P/ Case-Shiller Home Price Index released today, but the price gains dwindled from levels earlier in the year.
Boston house prices increased just 0.1 percent between July and August. Boston was one of just four major US cities that did not experience a drop in house prices, according to S&P/Case-Shiller, which tracks 20 major US cities.
