We agree. The late Hepburn’s Connecticut beach home is beautiful and classy — just like the actress herself. No kidding. Check it out. Whether it’s worth $28 million, well, that’s a different story.

Ps – Some commenters in the above link bemoan recent renovations to her old family house, apparently done by its most recent owner, according to this account. The renovation looks fine to us. If some people say it used to be even more beautiful, well, that only reflects better on the Hepburns.

The Nantucket vacation home of the late Mark Madoff, son of Bernie, is now on sale for a cool $7 million.

Mark Madoff paid $6.5 million for it in 2008. To be more accurate, someone paid $6.5 million for it three years ago. It’s not a bad place. But if you paid $7 million for a vacation home, would you be willing to put up with all the Madoff references and jokes? They’d be endless.

March 8, 2011 unit #23F sold for $865,000 or $1,009.00 per sq ft. This was 1bed/1.5 baths.

March 10, 2011  a penthouse luxury condo unit sold for $3,200,000 (PH3). This was a 3 bed / 3.5 bath sold for $1,243.00 per sq ft.
