Two other simple ideas from the Time Out New York “Why Didn’t We Think Of That?” issue.
1) Direct route to the airport. People in New York want a direct rail route from Manhattan to JFK. I feel they already have it pretty good, with the LIRR / AirTrain link, but apparently it’s not enough. Meanwhile, here in Boston, we suffer the indignity of the very slow, impractical Silver Line. How about a big huge bridge?
2) 24-hour a day parties. In Leningrad, where the sun doesn’t fully set, two months a year, the city hosts huge parties. Just what we need, right? Still, if we can have year after year of successful New Year’s Eve events, could Boston attempt to do something, on a hot summer night?
Any other killer ideas?
