Harold Brown, the area’s apartment-building king, is turning the 12-story office building at 8 Winter Street into 48 apartment units.
Forty of the units will be one-bedrooms, while eight would be studios. The rent would range from $1,650 to $1,950.
Brown and the article don’t mention who the target market might be in the future. But one suspects, based on the prices and non-family size of the units, that students at area schools — such as Suffolk and Emerson — could be prime tenant candidates.
This is just the latest apartments project to hit Boston. There seems to be an insatiable demand for new apartments.
