Here’s another sign of the tentative economic recovery in Boston: A long-delayed luxury housing-tower project is slated to get underway soon in the Seaport area.
Late last decade, the Drew Co. had shelved its plans for Waterside Place at the corner of Congress and D streets, as the real-estate market began to go south here and elsewhere. But the market is improving, so the developer is proceeding with construction of 236 luxury apartment units at the site.
The construction delay led to one major change in plans: Drew switched from building condos to building apartments.
