According to Forbes magazine, Essex County, on the North Shore, is the most overpriced place in the US.
Well, who asked them?
As explained in an article by Kimberly Blanton in today’s Globe:
Forbes said the list is an indicator of places where employment opportunities and personal incomes have not kept pace with increases in the cost of living.
I guess. My family did pretty well, living there for thirty years on a public teacher’s salery.
San Francisco, San Jose, and Honolulu were next on the list.
