So far, most complaints about rising sea levels, and thus rising flood insurance rates, have come from those living on the Cape and other waterfront areas associated with vacation lands.
But you haven’t heard anything yet when it comes to loud yelps and complaints.
It seems FEMA is about to start reviewing and developing new flood-zone areas for Suffolk County, i.e. Boston, and it seems almost inevitable that large swaths of the city are going to get hit with insurance-rate increases.
We’re talking hundreds of billions of dollars worth of property, folks.
