Boston Real Estate for Sale

Hosteling International, which for years has had a site in the Fenway area, is opening a completely refurbished facility on Stuart Street, next to Jacob Wirth’s Restaurant. The 480-bed hostel, with overnight stays starting at $29 a night, is looking to open in June, after a $43 million renovation.

Check out the video within the Herald link. It looks pretty cool, though the accommodations aren’t for everyone. It’s like a dormitory, though a somewhat hip dormitory. There will be private rooms available for $100 per night.

This is great news for the international tourism business in Boston. Hostels typically attract a lot of foreign visitors, most of them young, and now they get to stay in an area that’s much closer to the downtown tourist attractions and other amenities.
