Zillow is reporting that it’s still cheaper to buy than rent in Boston — but the gap is closing fast. In the U.S., median homes prices are increasing at a 6.1 percent rate while rents are inching up by 2.8 percent. But in Boston it’s 6.1 percent for homes versus 4.8 percent for rents.
