Boston Real Estate for Sale

The Boston Courant (no website, as I often point out) had an interesting bit of information in their weekly Real Estate Transaction Listings, this past week. (Maybe I’m a bit late with this story.)

Red Sox pitcher Bronson Arroyo (named for the actor Charles Bronson, as you know) closed on his purchase of a three-bedroom, 1445 square foot condo at 492 Beacon Street, #16, on February 28, 2006. The price was $949,400 (the price included one or two parking spaces, the property was listed at $850,000).

Oops, I should say, ex-Red Sox pitcher Bronsons Arroyo. On March 20, 2006, he was traded to the Cincinnati Reds.

Ouch.

Guess you’re not wanting for cash if you’re a Major League pitcher, but gee, could the timing have been worse for him?

So, make him an offer. Maybe he’ll be willing to deal.
