Boston Real Estate for Sale

Is Suffolk U. serious about the idea to buy the Filene’s “hole” from Vornado and Hynes? The Boston Herald reports that Suffolk is floating the idea of selling off its Beacon Hill housing properties in return for the Filene’s space. The idea of “floating” an idea, however, is to see how much opposition it would really have. Or maybe it’s just to put out some positive spin. The mayor, of course, gave the idea thumbs up. It would solve his age-old problem of Suffolk constantly clashing with Beacon Hill neighbors over expansions. But how realistic is the idea?
