Parcels 12-15 are three pieces of “land” spanning the Massachusetts Turnpike. They are located near Berklee College of Music, where Boylston Street meets Massachusetts Avenue.
Several years ago, Millennium Partners (Ritz Carlton Towers) proposed building a 1-million+ square foot tower on Parcel 12. After being laughed out of town, the sites have remained fallow, until now.
According to Banker & Tradesman, at least three developers are expected to bid on the air rights.
Anything built will be much smaller and less-dense. Heights will top out at 15-stories for one building and less for the others, according to B&T, and total square footage will be in the 140,000 range.
It’s not clear how much housing will be included, but one of the bidders may be Trinity Financial, the people behind the Avenir mixed-use development across from North Station.
