Newbury Street garage to be replaced by boutique retail/condo development

New York developers are planning to tear down an old garage at 6 Newbury Street in the Back Bay to build a new Chanel retail store and six custom-made condos that are supposed to evoke Paris, or something like that.

There was controversy over a prior plan to develop the site. Maybe the second time is the charm.
