According to the Wall Street Journal, Miramar, one of Newport, R.I.’s grand mansions, is going on the block.
The 27-bedroom, 30,000-square-foot “summer cottage” went on the market two years ago at $25 million but did not find a buyer. After a deal reached last fall fell through (details were not available), the owner, real-estate developer Andrew Panteleakis, decided to auction off the house instead. Sheldon Good & Co. is managing the sealed-bid auction; bids are due Nov. 3.
