As the chart above shows, married couples are by far the largest sector of first time home buyers at 54%. Single females is a distant seconds at 18%, single males are at 11%. Unmarried couples are second with 15% (others at 2%). In regards to household income for first time home buyers, married couple had an average or $79,400, unmarried couples came in second with $68,300 and rounding off single males $60,100 and single females $47,900.
