A new report says single-family home permits in the Greater Boston area were up a 39% for the first six months of 2010 compared to 2009. As the Boston Business Journal notes, the report by Fitch Ratings says 214,000 permits were secured, up from 2009’s dismal 154,000. It’s still a far cry from 2007’s 531,000, though.
