Newton, MA is the second best place to live in the U.S. if you are rich and single — or presumably, looking for someone who is.
CNNMoney’s Best Places to Live says 31.3% of the population is single in Newton, where the median family income, as they happen to measure it, is $138,070. That’s the second highest income, and lands the city at No. 2 of a Top-25-city list.
Brookline, MA comes in at #3 for affluent singletons, with 42.0% of the population spouse-free and a median income of $124,035. California dominates the Top 25 list of U.S. cities for rich singles, with nearly half the towns.
