The 1850 (SoHa Lofts) in the South End

1850 Lofts

90 Wareham 1850 Lofts

The 1850 Lofts (formerly SoHa Lofts, and also referred to as the Albany Street Residences), is a rehabilitation of the former Allied Bolt & Screw building for residential loft use by the Cresset Group, the development organization behind the Leather District loft-style condo development called Lincoln Plaza. The gut renovation of the existing building commenced construction in June 2006.

These SoHa (which stands for South of Harrison) loft-style condos feature open and flexible floorplans, 10-foot high ceilings, and modern amenities. The existing building offers exposed brick and wood beam ceilings, which are unique attributes that can only be found in a true loft conversion building. Units at the 1850 feature polished concrete floors, contemporary kitchens and bathrooms, and central air conditioning in a unique loft setting. Deeded parking is available for approximately half of the units in the outdoor parking lot adjacent to the building.

Homes will feature open and flexible floorplans, high ceilings and modern amenities

The existing building offers exposed brick and wood beam ceilings. The new building will offer modern design with selected units having outdoor balconies. Both buildings will have elevators.

All SoHa Lofts residences will have polished concrete floors, contemporary kitchens and bathrooms, and central air conditioning in a real true loft setting.

Underground parking will be available.

(This project was rechristened at “The 1850” from “SoHa” in December, 2007.)
