CNN/Money has a list of cities where home values have exceeded, or are close to, previous housing price levels.
Four of the seven cities are in Texas: Austin, San Antonio, Houston and Dallas (and take a look at their relatively low prices — whew). The others are Denver, San Jose and Pittsburgh, which, actually, is a pleasant surprise. Pittsburgh is nice city, underrated by a lot of people.
Anyway, no mention of say, oh, Cambridge, Mass, where housing prices are now about one-third higher than they were before the recession. Maybe Cambridge is too small to make it on the list.
