From today’s Boston Herald:
Dominics Bar and Grille, a neighborhood bar and pizza-by-the-slice stand on Tremont Street, closed for good last night.
Dominic Paulo, who passed away in 2002, opened it as a sub shop in 1973, then bought the bar next door, and began selling sidewalk pizza in 1985, said Tracy Ramondi, who co-owned the shop with her sister, Kelly Butts, 43, and brother Dominic Paulo Jr., 41.
like he’s really gone, Ramondi said of her father.
It’s been a part of my life since I was 12. Its sad. Its heartbreaking.
Plans for the shop under the new owner are not clear, Ramondi said.
