Boston’s Waterfront neighborhood runs all the way from Charlestown to South Station and the Ladder District. It is all publicly accessible, on foot. In addition, visitors can hop on any of the ferries that will take you north or south of the city, or out to Boston’s Harbor Islands. There is even a ferry to Logan Airport.
The Waterfront has some of the best views in the city – Boston Harbor and the Atlantic Ocean in one direction, and the beautiful Boston city skyline in the other.
The neighborhood is having a grand resurgence now that Boston’s other “Green Monster”, the Central Artery eight lane highway, is gone, replaced by acres of parks, now known as the Rose Kennedy Greenway.
