Aerosmith lead guitarist Joe Perry’s seven-acre Duxbury home is on the market for $4.5 million.

Located at 1405 Tremont St., the 14-room country estate known as Brook Haven Farm boasts a detached-stonefront carriage house, a pool in the shape of a Gibson guitar and a three-stall barn with tack room “boasting ethereal views of marsh and pond,” according to the listing. Buyers will also find a billiard room, high-tech media room and rooftop deck. The property also includes a second lot, custom double-entrance gates and is completely fenced.

Listing agent Janet Koelsch of Coldwell Banker’s Scituate office says Brook Haven Farm is a unique property for the area. “It’s just magnificent, and to find over seven acres in Duxbury that is so private doesn’t even exist. It’s beautiful,” she told Boston Agent magazine.

The home’s basement recording studio is where many Aerosmith songs were recorded over the years, including “Living on the Edge,” “Crying,” “Fever” and others, according to Koelsch. The studio, known as the Boneyard, is where the band recorded its 2004 live blues album “Honkin’ on Bobo” and 2001’s “Just Push Play.” Perry recorded three solo albums there as well.

Over the years, many famous musicians and songwriters spent time in the Boneyard, including Desmond Child, Diane Warren, Lenny Kravitz and the legendary Johnny Johnson, Chuck Berry’s piano player, plus many others, Koelsch said.
