A proposal to build a 78-unit apartment complex in Haymarket appears to have the edge over a rival bid to construct a new Boston History Museum, according to reports.
The final decision on the fate of the state-owned parcel, located along the Rose Kennedy Greenway, is expected today.
Boston could always use more downtown rental properties. But Boston also doesn’t have a classic downtown museum where visitors and tourists could go.
