The number of single-family homes put under agreement in July fell 18 percent from the previous year, the Massachusetts Association of Realtors said.
Condominium agreements declined 28 percent compared with July 2009.
Since the April 30 expiration of the federal first-time home buyer tax credit, pending sales of Massachusetts homes have declined for three consecutive months.
On a month-to-month basis, single-family homes put under agreement were down 7 percent from 4,354 homes in June. Condos put under agreement were down 13.2 percent from 1,689 units in June.
