A Boston Seaport condo broker, his wife, and his mother-in-law were vacationing in Jerusalem when the mother-in-law suddenly passed away.
The local undertaker told the broker, “You can bury her here in the Holy Land for $150, or we can ship her back to Boston for $5,000.”Without a second thought, the broker said, “Ship her home.”
The undertaker was confused. “Sir, why spend $5,000 to ship her back when you can have a beautiful, sacred burial here for almost nothing?”
The Seaport broker leaned in and whispered, “Look, I know the history here, a man was buried in this city, and three days later he rose again. I just can’t take that risk.”
