Realtors are beginning to see fewer low-ball offers for homes by potential buyers.
No one is saying this marks the end of the housing crisis. How many times have people predicted that? It’s almost embarrassing to think about how many bogus we’ve-hit-bottom pronouncements have been made over the years.
Still, it’s an interesting phenomenon, if low-ball offers really are declining. We’ll soon see if it’s true, when the next S&P Case-Schiller Price Index comes out. Buyers may be throwing curve balls instead of low balls — and that wouldn’t be much of an improvement.
